Apple processes every purchase, so subscriptions and refunds are handled in your Apple Account — we can't do it from our side.
reportaproblem.apple.comWriting in about a bug? Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you saw versus what you expected. If it's about setup, say whether your phone was locked or unlocked when you plugged in. That one detail resolves most reports on the first reply.
Common questions
I plugged in and nothing happened
If your iPhone was locked, that's expected: the animation starts the moment you unlock it. iOS does not let any app take over a locked screen. If your phone was already unlocked and still nothing happened, check the automation — see the next question.
The Shortcuts automation isn't firing
Open the Shortcuts app, go to the Automation tab and find the "When iPhone is connected to charger" automation. Two settings matter: it must be set to Run Immediately, and Notify When Run should be off. If the automation is missing entirely, open ChargeTok and run the setup again from Settings — it rebuilds it in about two minutes.
I bought Pro but it's still locked
Open ChargeTok, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. If it still doesn't unlock, email us with your App Store receipt or transaction ID and we'll sort it out.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then ChargeTok, then Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription — you have to do it here.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app is broken, email us first — we'd rather fix it than have you ask Apple for your money back.
Why does my screen go dim while charging?
On purpose. Long charging sessions burn images into OLED panels, so ChargeTok dims after a couple of minutes, drops to a near-black clock face overnight, and gently shifts anything that sits still. You can adjust this in Settings, but we'd leave it on.
Where's my time-to-full estimate?
It stays hidden until we've watched your charge long enough for the number to mean something — usually a couple of minutes. We'd rather show nothing than show you a confident-looking guess.
Can I use my own video?
Yes, with Pro. Import from Photos, trim it, loop it, keep it — no watermark. The video is copied into ChargeTok's private storage on your phone and is never uploaded anywhere.
Does it work on iPad?
Not yet. ChargeTok 1.0 is iPhone only, and needs iOS 17 or later.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything ChargeTok stores — favorites, imported videos, charge history and settings — lives on your phone and goes with it. There's no account to close, because there was never one to create. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Will you add more animations?
Fresh ones every week. If there's something you want to see, tell us — we read every suggestion that comes in.
